Once you log in to the ThirdPresence Console you can:
- Upload new videos and view their status on the encoding queue
- Delete existing videos
- Manage the content metadata for each individual video
- Get the publishing information (URLs) for videos
- Manage the videos by creating playlists for easing the content browsing
- Access your account status, latest analytics and ThirdPresence support pages
Logging in
If you are already a ThirdPresence customer, your username and password were sent to you as a part of the sign-up process (username and password are the same as for your FTP account). In case you have problems logging in, please create a ticket in our support web site and we are more than happy to help you to get started with the ThirdPresence Console.
You can log in to the console at url http://www.thirdpresence.com/login. Once you have successfully logged in to the console, the user interface will open up on the browser and you can start managing your video assets.
Viewing available videos
The first view that opens up on the Console is "Videos" tab. It lists the available videos per playlist. By default all videos are listed on the view, but you can filter the videos by choosing a playlist on the right hand side of the user interface.
You can delete existing videos pressing the red cross button next to each video. Note that deleting a video will entirely remove it from the ThirdPresence platform and you are unable to undo the action.
Adding new videos to your account is done using the upload wizard. The process is started by clicking "Upload video" button.
The metadata and the preview of a single video is shown in a separate video details view when you click the thumbnail image of a video or the link on video's name.
Uploading video
Uploading a new video to your account is a straightforward process. When you start the video upload wizard, press "Browse", select the video from your hard drive or mass storage and continue the upload process. The file gets uploaded to the back-end server and after that you can enter a name of the video and choose the category where the file is uploaded.
You can then view the upload queue by selecting the "Uploads" tab for checking when the video has been processed and is ready to be published.
Checking upload queue
The video upload queue shows the uploaded video files and their current state. You can use the 'Uploads' tab to check when the recently uploaded files are published and available.
Publishing videos
"Publishing" tab shows the direct URLs to various video feeds. You can get the feeds for a specific playlist by selecting one on the right side of the screen.
The feeds are available in multiple different standard Web formats such as in RSS Atom feed format and in Media RSS format. In case you are developing mobile web site or integrating your Content Management System (CMS) against ThirdPresence, these feeds include all the necessary information about the videos.
The system also publishes multiple different feeds for third-party CMSes. They are practical in case you are using one of them as your mobile CMS and want quickly to integrate videos to your mobile web site.
Playlist
Playlist management is handled on the "Playlist" tab. Playlists are a way for you to organize your videos for easier content management and for easing the publishing process.
You can create a new list clicking "Add playlist" button and defining the name for the playlist. After creating a new playlist, it is shown on the right side of the user interface and you can start uploading video files to the new playlist.
Playlists can be use in "Videos" tab and in "Publishing" tab for narrowing down the available videos and determining which videos should be published on the feed.
Account
Account tab shows the basic information about your account: your account type, contact email, white-label mobile site URL and other administrative pieces of information.
Support
Support web site can be accessed either directly at http://support.thirdpresence.com/ or then by clicking the "Support" tab on the right-hand side of the ThirdPresence Console.
Analytics
Selecting analytics tab on the right-hand side of the ThirdPresence Console starts the ThirdPresence Reporting & Analytics on a new window. For more information about the analytics solution, please see the chapter Reporting & Analytics.
Access to Wiki
You can access this wiki through the link on the right-hand side of the ThirdPresence Console. The Console will open a new browser window where the Wiki's frontpage is displayed and you can start navigating on the Wiki.
